Smt. Ram Rakhi Devi, July 1924; 1 s. and 4 d.; agriculturist; Took active part in all the movements launched by Gandhiji since 1930 and onwards; was imprisoned in 1930, 1932, 1941, 1942 and also in 1975 after the declaration of Emergency; previously associated with the Indian National Congress, 1929—69 and with Congress (O) since 1969; was Secretary, (i) Congress Committee, Bareilly, (ii) Pradesh Congress Committee, Lucknow; President, Pradesh Congress Committee, U .P.; Member, All-India Congress Working Committee; Member, U.P. Legislative Assembly, 1946—69 and 1974—77; Minister, Utter Pradesh Government, 1952—67; presently Member Committee on Papers Laid on the Table.
