P. Cooperative Union for 4 years, Vice-Chairman, National Cooperative Union of India; Member, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, 1952-57; Led the Indian Cooperative Delegation to the Fifth Czechoslovakia Cooperative Congress, 1967; represented India at the Annual Conference of Federation of International Agricultural Producers at Ottawa in 1972; attended the International Cooperative Alliance meeting in Budapest in 1973, represented India’s Cooperative Movement at the World Peace Congress held in USSR in 1973.
Social activities: Actively associated with Bhoodan movement, Cooperative movement, and working for the removal of untouchability.
Favourite pastime and recreation: Photography and Travelling.
Special interests: Study of people’s culture and institutions; Cooperative movement.
Sports and clubs: was Vice-Captain, Volleyball Team, Allahabad University, held the rank of Corporal in U.T. C. and stood first in shooting.
Travels abroad: Czechoslovakia, Germany (East and West), England, Austria, U.S.S. R., Canada, U.S.A., Hungary and Rumania.
