Simirata Devi; 4 s. and 2 d.; teacher, Assistant Lecturer, Swawlambi Inter College, Bishampura, Gorakhpur; social worker; previously associated with Bhartiya, Kranti Dal and Bhartiya Lok Dal; detained under D.I.R. and M.I.S.A. in 1975 during Emergency; Member, Senate, Gorakhpur University; Member, U.P. Legislative Assembly for two terms, 1969 and 1974.
