Shrimati Shakuntala Devi, February 19, 1949; 1 s. and 3 d.; Head Master, Socio-political worker and agriculturist; took active part in Quit India Movement, 1942 and suffered imprisonment and loss of property; Secretary, Nirmali Thana Congress Committee, April 1937—44 and Supaul Sub-Divisional Congress Committee, 1939—43; President, Thana Teaches’ Association, 1949—51; Member, (i) D.C.C.
