The only woman to have been elected President of Ravenshaw College Student`s Union, which is the oldest and most distinguished educational institution of Orissa (1986 – 1987); led the Puri-Konark Belabhumi Surakshya Andolan, 1993; led the movement for implementation of Behera Commission Report on Cuttack Liquor Tragedy, 1995; Presented a draft proposal to the then Chief Minister of Orissa on a State Policy for Women, 1996; organised and presided over the first All Orissa Women`s Convention at Cuttack, 1996 |
