Social activities: Secretary, Mahila Mandir and Bal Mandir, Sarangarh; organised many family planning camps and Children’s camps; staged cultural programmes for the National Defence Fund.

Hobbies: Reading, gardening and Shikar,

Favourite pastime and recreation: Music, outdoor games such as Badminton, cultural activities and watching animals in their natural surroundings.

Special interests: Culture of the tribal people and their welfare.

Sports: Participated in inter-State High School athletics in 1953; represented Madhya Pradesh in various Women’s Hockey tournaments; led the Sarangarh XI for the Tommy Emar Gold Cup and won the trophy; won the school championship in 1953.
