Social activities:  Has been interested in the cause of Scheduled Castes and backward classes; Took special interest in land reforms and in physically disabled people like the blind, the deaf and dumb; Has founded an institute for the housing and training of the permanently disabled to enable them to earn their livelihood.

Hobby:  Gardening.

Special interests:  Study of agrarian problems and rural economy.

Sports:  Badminton. 

Travels abroad:  Europe and Egypt.

Publications:  Commentary on U.P. Tenancy Act and numerous/articles and brochures on rural problems.
