Jaunpur 1913; ed. at  Deoband but  left school on account of active  participation  in  politics; widower; wholetime political  worker; previously associated with the  Hindusthan Socialist Republican  Army and the Revolutionary  Socialist Party ; suffered  imprisonment on various occasions before and after independence for political activities and remained underground for a considerable time.

Social activities:  Uplift and welfare of  farmers and workers.

Special interests:  Study of political philosophy and social science.

Sports:  Badminton.
