College, Visakhapatnam  Presidency College, Madras,  Law College,  Madras and Law College,  Trivandrum; Widower;  Advocate;  associated with the Indian National   Congress  upto 1951 and later with the K.M.P.P; participated in the Salt Satyagraha, Individual Satyagraha and the Quit India movement; suffered imprisonment on a number of occasions during the freedom struggle; was Secretary and President of the Visakhapatnam District Congress Committee from time to time between 1925 and 1930; was Member, Working Committee, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee; Chairman, Praja Party, Andhra, since 1954 (with few breaks); Member, Madras Legislative Assembly, 1937—39 and again, 1946—53; Parliamentary Secretary, Revenue, 1937—39 and Chief Parliamentary Secretary, 1946-47, Madras Government Member Andhra Legislative Assembly, 1953-54, 1956—59 and 1962—67; Minister for Finance  Law, Andhra, October, 1953 to October,1954;  Chairman, (1)  Company  Law  Advisory Commission,  New  Delhi, April, 1959 – April,  1960; (2) Coffee Board.
