NAGALAND PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Nagaland Public Service Commission was established in the year 1965. At the establishment time. The commission consists of one chairman and two members. In the year 1985, one more member was added to the commission. At present, the commission consists of one chairman and four members. The exams conducted by the commission are;
- Allied Service Examination
- Technical Service Examination
- Civil Secretariat cum Other posts Examination
NCS/NPS/NSS and Allied Service Examination
The Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Police Officers, Administrative officers, Civil Services,
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be the citizen of India. The age limit of the applicant must be between 21 to 38 years. The candidate must have a degree from the recognized university/Institution.
Selection Procedure:
The selection process consists of three stages;
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Interview
Exam pattern:
The Preliminary exam consists of one paper with 200 marks with three hours time duration. The paper is of objective type. The main examination consists of three papers with 200 marks each .The paper is descriptive as well as Objective type. The time duration for each paper is three hours. There is negative marking with 0.33% for each wrong answer. The eligible candidates from both the exams are selected for the interview process.
Technical Services Examination
The Technical Services Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of medical officers, Food safety Officers, Assistant planning officers.
Eligibility Criteria:
The aspirant must be the citizen of India .The age limit for the candidate is between 21 years to 33 years. The aspirant must have a graduation based on their posts from the recognized University /Institution.
Selection Procedure:
The Selection process consists of two levels;
- Written Examination
- Interview
Exam pattern:
The Written Exam consists of one paper with general English and general Knowledge .The paper consists of 100 marks with time duration of 3 hours. The technical Paper I and II consists of 200 marks each with time duration of three hours for each paper. The negative marking for the paper is half for each wrong answer. The merit based candidates are called for the interview process.
Civil Secretariat and Other Posts Examination
The Examination is conducted for the posts of clerks, peons, typists.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Candidate must be the citizen of India. He/she must hold a degree from a recognized Institution/University.
Selection Procedure:
The Selection procedure consists of two stages;
- Written Examination
- Practical Examination
Exam Pattern:
The written Examination consists of two papers with 200 marks each with a time duration of three hours for each paper. The paper consists of general English and General Knowledge .The Paper I is an objective paper. The shortlisted candidates are selected to the practical examination.

- Interested candidates must fill the necessary details
- Upload the recently scanned clear photograph and signature of the candidate
- Agree to the declaration provided
- View the preview if any mistakes are detected by the applicant, he/she must fill a new application form
- Payment process must be done based on the online payment or challan submission
- After the completion, the applicant will receive a E admission certification as a proof for the completion process.
