Thiru RMT. Teekaa Raman S/o.(Late) Thiru. R.M. Thiruvengadam and (Late) Tmt.T.Meenakshi born on June 9th 1963, did schooling in Government High School at Arcot, Vellore District, and did Plus Two at Voorhees Higher Secondary School and graduated in B.Sc. Mathematics from Voorhees College, Vellore
Did M.Sc. Mathematics in Ramanujam Institute in advanced study in Mathematics at University of Madras, Chennai and did B.L. from Madras Law College 1988, and enrolled as an Advocate on 11.11.1988 and commenced practice in the Office of Justice J. Kanakaraj (now retired) and (Late) M.S. Umapathy, started independent practice since 1995 in Appellate Side of the Madras High Court and also specialized in Writ Petition. Also appeared proposed before Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Consumer Forum, Land Reforms Appellate Tribunal, special focus on Land Acquisition, Land Administration and Land Reforms and Property Matters.
Selected as District Judge by direct Recruitment in the year 2004 and joined the Tamil Nadu Judicial Service in June 2005. Worked as a Trainee District Judge at Krishnagiri and Additional Judge (PCR) Madurai and Special Session Judge (Mahila Court), Chennai and Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai.
Promoted as Principal District Judge and posted at Tiruvannamalai & Erode and worked as Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal and Additional Registrar (Vigilance), High Court, Madras and Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee and as Member Secretary in Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority in December 2014.
My elder brother Dr. Pasupathi is working as Reader in Pathology, Vellore Government Medical College at Vellore and my wife Dr. Manjula Raman M.Sc., Ph.D., and she is working as Assistant Professor in Private Medical College and my elder daughter T. Sadhana Raman is an Engineer in Electrical Communication (EC) and my younger daughter T. Mayuri studying Plus Two in CBSE stream.
I also represented National Legal Services Authority and Chaired the main session of National Seminar on Legal Protection to HIV affected Persons organised by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at New Delhi on 21st December, 2015.
