Born on 01.07.1960, passed BA (Hons in Economics) from JB College, Jorhat in the year 1981, obtained LL.B degree from Jorhat Law College in the year 1987 and obtained B.Ed. degree from Post Graduate Training College, Jorhat in 1987. Enrolled in the Bar Council of Assam in 1987 and practised at Jorhat District Court for a period of one year. Joined Assam Judicial Service on 01.12.1988 and since then worked in different capacity like Principal Judge, Family Court, Guwahati, Registrar Judicial, Registrar Administration and Registrar General of Gauhati High Court and promoted to selection grade on 04.12.2014 w.e.f. 11.01.2013.

Lastly worked as a District and Sessions Judge, Dibrugarh. Elevated to Bench of Additional Judge, Gauahti High Court on 07.01.2015. She is posted as the Station Judge at Itanagar Bench w.e.f 07/01/2015 till date.
