- Answer any SEVEN questions (7 x 5 = 35)
- What is Research? Explain the principles of a good research.
- Explain the significance of research problems.
- How does a Survey Method differ from observation method?
- What do you understand by ‘Hypothesis Testing’? State the various hypothesis testing procedures
- Enumerate the different methods of data collection.
- What is Research Design? State the components of Research design?
- Explain ‘conditions for applying Chi-square test’.
- Write short notes on (a) Null Hypothesis (b) Bibliography
- The Sample size of 100 students is taken from a large population. The mean height is 64 inches and S.D 4 inches. Can it be reasonably regarded population mean height is 66 inches. Would you conclude that there is no significant different between sample mean and hypothetical population mean. Table value @ 1% significant level is 2.58. Calculate Z test.
- A fertilizer mixing machine is set to give 4 kg of potassium for every quintal bag of fertilizers. Five 100 kg bags are examined. The percentages of potassium are 2,6,4,3,1 Calculate t-test and assume that: Is there reason that the machine is defective?
