- What are the types of resins used in ion exchange chromatography. Give examples and applications.
- Calculate the pH of a buffer solution containing 0.1 M of acetic acid and 0.01 M of sodium acetate. (Ka of acetic acid = 1.8X10-5 at 25oC).
- Write a note on theories of indicators.
- Distinguish between co-precipitation and post-precipitation.
- Discuss the principle of titration using EDTA.
- How would you prepare 100 mL of N HCl from i) concentrated HCl (11N)
- ii) a solution of 2 N HCl
- What are chromophores and auxochromes? Cite examples.
- Write Beer Lambert’s law. What are its limitations?
- How will you distinguish different types of hydrogen bonding by IR spectroscopy?
