SAINIK SCHOOL CHITTORGARH
History – Sainik School, Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) was established on 07 Aug 1961. It is one of the first five Sainik Schools started in various states by the Ministry of Defence, in association with respective State Governments under the aegis of Sainik School Society. The first batch of Class XI students of this School appeared for Indian School Certificate Examination during Nov-Dec 1961. Later, during 1978 the school changed over to CBSE, and now offers only Science stream at Senior Secondary level being a feeder institution to NDA. It is also a member of the All India Public Schools Conference (IPSC).
The saga of Chittorgarh where the School is located is replete with heroic tales of romance and chivalry. The history of this place revolves around its ancient fort which dates back to 566 AD when the reign of Sisodias of Mewar occupied a very special niche in the annals of history as a dynasty which upheld the values and kept alive its traditional independence.
Over the centuries, Chittorgarh was attacked by Allauddin Khilji, Bahadur Shah of Malwa and the Mughal Emperor, Akbar. The Rajput rulers displayed exemplary heroism, choosing death to surrender and dishonor, till the Fort was finally annexed to the Mughal Empire in 1567.
School Crest & Motto – Victory Tower of Chittorgarh was built by Rana Kumbha in 1440 AD to commemorate his victory over the combined forces of the neighboring kingdom of Malwa and Gujarat. Sainik School Chittorgarh has aptly selected this ‘ Vijay Stambh ‘ as the main motif of its crest with the rising sun, a symbol of the solar class of Rajputs, as backdrop, thus truly symbolizing its motto : ‘Dignity and Valour’.

SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI
Established on 08 Jul 1961, Sainik School, Kapurthala is a pioneer in the comity of twenty-four Sainik Schools running under the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. Nestled in the grand palace of the erstwhile Maharaja of Kapurthala in the lush green regal surroundings, the School sprawls over a vast area of around 200 acres and is equipped with a rich infrastructure to ensure an all-round personality development of the cadets.
The School has rendered an invaluable service to the nation during the last five decades of its glorious existence With its rich infrastructure, excellent training and dedicated faculty, it has sent more than 600 cadets to NDA and has a rare distinction of bagging the coveted Defence Minister’s Trophy ten times including six times in succession for sending maximum number of cadets to NDA. It has marched steadily in its pursuit of excellence and created many lofty records in its multifarious ventures. It has played a yeoman role in the field of education by turning a large number of cadets hailing from remote and rural segments of the State into respectable citizens of the Country.
A large number of its alumni have risen to the rank of Lt Gen and its equivalent. They have won numerous accolades for their outstanding achievements in various fields. A large number of them have also excelled themselves as distinguished bureaucrats, doctors, engineers, lawyers and business executives etc. The School has an illustrious faculty committed to uphold the laudable ethos and high standards in various spheres. The two members of faculty have been conferred the prestigious National Award for Teachers for their dedicated services to the institution.
INTRODUCTION – The School has well-maintained, sprawling play fields for all the major games like Football, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball and Lawn Tennis. Regular PT, NCC, Yoga and Swimming are held to build up the stamina and endurance of the young cadets. The cadets have brought laurels in various sporting events organized by the Sahodaya Complex, CBSE Cluster, IPSC and Sainik Schools Society. The successful participation of the School Band Contingent in Republic Day Camps for many times in succession has brought a singular honour to the School.
The cadets have marched on Rajpath playing on a variety of musical instruments in a number of Republic Day Parades. All out efforts are made to equip the cadets with right skills, traits and values to face the challenges of the modern world. A number of effective steps have been taken to improve life and training of the cadets in the School. The School is fully galvanized to meet the challenges of the new knowledge-based society of the 21st Century.

Historical Background: It was on 24 July 1961, that the huge and pelf of bygone days was converted into a temple of learning by the then Defence Minister of India, Sh V.K. Krishna Menon and Sainik mansion of Nawab of Kunjpura, the symbol of power School Kunjpura was born. The school is precisely located in Distt. Karnal, that gets its name from the legendary character of Mahabharata ‘Karna’. The school is situated off the G.T. Road, 8 kms away from Karnal Town. The School stands majestically sprawled over 276 acres land amidst nature’s beauty – the lush green trees and emerald grounds.
Aim: The school was conceived with the motive of bringing public school education to the door step of the common man and preparing the boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. The School is indeed rendering a yeoman service to the nation by providing quality education to the children from the myriad backgrounds. It enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up illustrious careers as officers in the Armed Forces of the Nation and other celebrated professions. The School emphasizes on all-round development of the cadets so that they constantly strive hard to live up to the school motto <strong“siddhim sannadh”<=”” strong=””>i.e. “Ready to Accomplish”. The School has met the aims and objectives laid down by its ‘Founding Father’ and is proud recipient of annexing Raksha Mantri Trophy ‘Seven times’ for sending maximum number of boys to NDA amongst all the Sainik Schools of the country. Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps are the qualities which are promoted by the school.
Infrastructure: The School has a state-of-the-art infrastructure which includes Main Block christened as Bhupinder Hooda Main Block after the Hon’ble Chief-Minister of Haryana, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a proud alumnus of Sainik School Kunjpura. In ad dition, the school also has Deepak Kapoor NDA Block which houses 15 Class-rooms, 2 wi-fi equipped Computer Laboratories, one fully equipped multi-media room, an impressive Lecture Hall, an Adventure Room, NDA cell and Neurobic Lab. The School has the proud privilege of having a majestic 40 ft tall Artificial Climbing Wall, only one of its kind in the entire State. The School also has an upgraded War-Memorial, Smart Class-rooms, spacious and well-furnished Library having more than 15000 books, Skating Rink, Drill Square, Obstacle Course, Synthetic Lawn Tennis Court, Science Park, renovated Swimming Pool, renovated Boys’ Dormitories, spacious Me ss where 700 cadets can dine together.So far, more than 800 Cadets of the School have joined NDA and a large number of Cadets have joined the forces through CDS and OTA. SAINIK SCHOOL SATARA
INTRODUCTION – Sainik School, Satara the first Sainik School of the country was founded through the visionary efforts of Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra State. It was inaugurated by the then Defence Minister of India, Shri V K Krishna Menon on 23 Jun 1961. The school is authorised for 620 boarders. All boarders from Class VI to Class XII reside in 6 houses (two junior and four seniors’ houses).
INFRASTRUCTURE – The school is established over a sprawling campus of 115 acres. The school has a well establis hed infrastructure which includes well equipped Dormitories, Cadets’ Mess, MI Room, and all sports facilities. The is among the few Sainik Schools which boosts to have a Horse Riding facility, Swimming pool and a Squash Court.
