JEE Main 2016 Important Dates

JEE Main 2016 Important Dates have been released. As expected the most crucial engineering entrance of the year 2016 are in line with JEE Main 2015 Examination. CBSE is the examination authority for JEE Main 2016 and shall conduct the test both under online as well as offline mode. Around 13.5 Lacs students across India and abroad applied for JEE main 2015 and the figure may increase during 2016.

Though the exam shall be conducted both under online as well as offline mode, there shall be only one mode of application form, i.e. Online Application. Students should be very much careful while filling up JEE main application form as any mistake in the JEE main application form may not be rectified during later period. 

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2016) is an all India common engineering entrance examination conducted by Joint Admission Board (JAB) to provide admission in NITs, IIITs, funded technical institutions, etc. The next level exam is JEE Advanced which is appeared by top 1.5 Lacs candidates of JEE Main 2016 and this exam is meant for admission into IITs in India.

JEE Main 2016 shall have two papers, Paper-1 for B.E / B.Tech candidates where as Paper-2 for B.Arch / B.Planning candidates. Paper 2 can only be appeared through offline mode (Pen and Paper based test). A candidate can appear both Paper 1 and paper 2 as per their preference. The candidates who have also opted for Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) of JEE (Main), are advised to bring their own clip board, geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons.
