Born on 01-03-1946 in the state of Manipur. Did B.Sc (Honours) from Gauhati University. Obtained degree of Law and Post Graduate Diploma in Local Self-Government Administration from Allahabad University in 1970. Joined Bar in the year 1970. Designated as a Senior Advocate on 05-01-1994. Practised in Gauhati High Court as well as in the Supreme Court of India. Was elected member of Bar Council of North Eastern States. Was legal adviser of many institutions like Manipur University, Manipur State Road Transport Corporation, Manipur State Industrial Development Corporation, State Bank of India and the Govindoji Temple Board. Was President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Meghalaya. Sworn in as Judge of Gauhati High Court on 29-01-1996. Was transferred to Sikkim High Court at Gangtok on 07-01-2003. Was the Acting Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court during 18-05-2003 to 08-07-2003. Premature demise on 17-07-2007.
