Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain
Born on October 01, 1958 in the family of Lawyers at Hisar. His father Sh. Gulab Singh Jain, was an eminent Income Tax Advocate and a Member of Legislative Assembly from Hisar in the year 1972 to 1977. After obtaining degree in B.Com. and LL.B, he was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh in the month of May, 1982 and, started his legal practice in the District Courts at Hisar. In January, 1983, he shifted to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, at Chandigarh, where he practiced for 25 years on Civil, Criminal and Revenue side and remained Member of the Executive Committee of the High Court Bar Association twice. He keeps keen interest in sports and was a College Colour Holder in Cricket. He was elevated as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh on December 05, 2007
