Hon’ble Thiru. Justice V. Bharathidasan
Justice V.BHARATHIDASAN, B.A., B.L., was born on 07th May,1960 in an agricultural family to Late Thiru M.K.Veerasamy and Tmt.Ponnammal at Alathur Village, Pattukottai, Thanjavur. He did his schooling in Panchayat Union Elementary School and Government High School at Alathur Village, and pre-University Course, at Bishop Heber College, Thiruchirapalli and graduation in B.A., at Loyola College, Chennai. He did B.L., in Madras Law College (now known as Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College) during 1982-85. He got enrolled as an Advocate on 11th September 1985. He practiced in the High Court of Judicature at Madras. In the year, 2005, he was appointed as Senior Panel Counsel for Central Government at the High Court and continued in the post till,2015. He was also the Standing Counsel for Chennai City Municipal Corporation from 2006 to 2015. He was also active in the Madras Bar Association and served as the Association’s Secretary from 2009 to 2011. He had extensive practice both at the Principal Bench and Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. He was appointed as permanent Judge of this Court on 07.04.2016.
