  4. Explain the concept and measures of human development in India.
  5. Describe the theory of demographic transition.
  6. Mention the various retarding factors and solutions for Indian economy.
  7. Explain the new telecommunication policy.

Answer any TWO questions in about 900 words each.                 (2 x 20 = 40 marks)

 

  1. Elucidate the human development policy in India and mention the success and failure of implementation of them.
  2. Evaluate the various steps taken to reduce population in India during the plan periods.
  3. Critically examine the development of power, energy and urban infrastructure in India.
  4. Examine the performance of anti poverty programmes in India.
