  1. Describe the political, social, economic and religious condition of the Rig Vedic Age. In what respect did it differ from Later Vedic Age.
  2. “The religion of Asoka’s edicts was not any particular religion but an amalgamation of all religions in India”. Comment.
  3. Discuss the life and teachings of Mahavira. What are their contributions to Indian Culture.
  4. Critically examine the social and cultural contributions of the Imperial Guptas.
  5. Write a detailed essay on the impact and contribution of Islam. Did it result in the emergence of an Indian Cultural ethos?
