  6. What is ‘Social Assistance’?

  8. Explain the concept ‘Labour map’.
  9. List any four functions of Industrial Medical Officer.
  10. Identify any four major occupational hazards in Mines.

  1. Describe the unique characteristics of Indian Labour force with suitable illustrations.
  2. Bring out the importance of Industrial Housing and explain any four schemes implemented by the Central Government.
  3. What are the causes of Industrial accidents? Examine the preventive measures adopted in various types of Industries.
  4. What is an ‘Occupational disease’? Name them and explain with suitable examples.
  5. Discuss the significance and conditions of maintaining ‘Creche’ and ‘Canteen’ in Industries.

  1. Discuss the relevance of social security schemes to the Indian labour force with your personal comment on any two of the same.
  2. Critically examine the Workers Education programme in India.
  3. In the context of your field work experience, elaborate the rationale and strategies of Social Work intervention in Indian Industries.
