  3. Name any four housing schemes initiated by the Government of India.
  4. What is the need for housing for industrial workers?
  5. What do you understand by the term “Social Security”?
  6. Name any two welfare facilities provided under the Factories Act, 1948.
  7. Name some of the causes of Industrial accidents.
  8. Name atleast four legislations/acts related to Social Security.
  9. What are some of the welfare provisions under the Plantations Labour Act, 1951?
  10. Where are the headquarters of the following institutes?

Answer any Four questions. Each answer should not exceed 300 words  [4 x 10 = 40 Marks]

 

  1. Differentiate between voluntary and non – voluntary welfare measures.
  2. How does “Dock workers (safety, health & welfare) scheme, 1961 get implemented in India?
  3. Discuss the section of the Factories Act, 1948 that deals with the welfare facilities.
  4. Write short notes on (a) Doctrine of Notional Extension (b) ) Doctrine of Contributory Negligence
  5. What are the objectives and scope of social security measures in India?

Answer any TWO questions. Each question should not exceed 600 words.
