SECTION – A

 

Answer ALL questions within 50 words each.                                                 (10 x 2 = 20 marks)

  1. What are the major contributes of rural economy in India?
  2. What is meant by agrarian structure?
  3. What are the causes for soil erosion?
  4. Mention the commonly used fertilisers in agriculture.
  5. Mention the problems of agricultural marketing.
  6. Define Cottage Industry.
  7. What is meant by minimum wage.
  8. Mention two legislations related to cooperative movement.
  9. On what basis small and marginal farmers are classified.
  10. Explain the concept of ‘Bonded Labour’.

SECTION – B

Answer any FOUR questions within 300 words each:                                     (4 x 10 = 40 marks)

  1. Bring out the salient features of Indian rural economy.
  2. Describe the major problems of marginal farmers.
  3. Inspire of the efforts of the Government the agricultural productivity is low in the country. Analyse the causes.
  4. Explain the basic objectives and philosophy of cooperation.
  5. Write short notes on (i) Manure and fertilisers. (ii) Bhoodan movement.

SECTION – C

Answer any TWO questions within in 600 words each.                                   (2 x 20 = 40 marks)

  1. Critically analyse the land reform measures implemented by the Government.
  2. Discuss the role and relevance of small and Cottage Industries in the present day.
  3. Analyse the problems of agricultural labourers in the country and suggest suitable measures for their total development.
