  1. Define effusion.
  2. What are the two layers present in the serous membrane?
  3. What is anencephaly?
  4. APT test.
  5. What are charcots joints?
  6. What is SLE?
  7. Mention the crystals present in synovial fluid.
  8. Classify the different types of synovial joints.
  9. Draw the distal end of the vertebral column.
  10. What is multiple sclerosis?

 

SECTION  B

Answer any FOUR of the following :                                                           (4 x 10 =40)

  1. Write a short note on measurement of body fluid volumes.
  2. What are the different body fluid compartments. Add a note on each.
  3. Give the normal and abnormal findings of amniotic fluid analysis.
  4. What is osteoarthritis. Explain its types.
  5. Write short notes on the diseases of the brain.
  6. Define clearance. Write briefly on renal clearance tests.

  1. Explain amniocentesis. Explain the parameters used to study fetal lung maturity.
  2. Define synovial fluid. Give the composition and classification of synovial fluid and add a note on its analysis.
  3. Explain the formation and circulation of CSF. Write briefly on lumbar puncture.
  4. Write in detail on the structure of a nephron and formation of urine.
