  2. What are the components of a Project Proposal?
  3. Why are NGOs known as the third sector?
  4. Name the tax laws applicable to NGOs
  5. What are the various steps in NGO formation?
  6.  Define ‘Community Based Organisation’.
  7. What are the pre-requisites to register a ‘Trust’?
  8. Name the laws governing the registration of NGOs.
  1. Name a few characteristics of NGO’s in India.
  2. Define 360 degree feedback and its purpose.

Answer any Five questions in about 300 words each                                                    (5 x 8 = 40 Marks)

 

  1.  Explain in detail the various steps involved in Designing a Project.
  2.  List the various life skills and explain its benefits to children.
  3. NGOs have been a major contributor to women empowerment – Justify.
  4. Explain how NGOs work in partnership with the government with any one National Health program as an example.
  5. Define the need for ‘Code of Ethics in NGOs’ and elaborate on any one International Code.
  6. Classify NGOs according to their types and functions with examples.
  1. Is the influence of NGO’s on government performance positive or negative? Explain with examples.

Answer any Two questions in about 1200 words each                                                (2 x 20 = 40 Marks)

 

  1.  Trace the evolution of NGO’s in general and write a note on the growth of NGOs in India.
  2. What are the various methods of Fundraising? Draw up a Fund-raising plan to raise funds to conduct a sports meet for children from Chennai’s slums.
  3. India ranks second in the world with highest number of malnourished children; India has about 35 million child labourers. In the light of the above statistics justify how NGOs have contributed to Development of children.
  4. What is the process for registering an NGO and elaborate any one in detail.
