Devaki Nair, February 29, 1952; 1 d.; Political and Social worker; previously associated with Harijan Sewak Sangh and State Congress, Travancore; Member, Kerala State Legislative Assembly, 1952-54 and 1967—77; Minister of Agriculture and Electricity, Government of Kerala, 1967—70; Minister of Electricity, Housing and Transport, Government of Kerala, 1971—77; was also Minister-in-charge of Industry for a few months in Kerala; Member, Rajya Sabha, 1956—67; presently Member, Estimates Committee.
