SIKKIM PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

     Sikkim Public Service Commission are been setup in the year 1982.The Commission is held for the direct recruitment for the candidate who are interested in Government sector. The headquarter is located in Old West Point School Complex. The Commission consists of one chairman and one member. The exams conducted by the commission are,Sikkim Public Service Commission (Sikkim PSC)

  1. Civil Service and police Service Examination
  2. Technical Engineering Service Examination
  3. Medical and Veterinary officer Examination
  4. Assistant Architect Examination

Civil Service and Police Service Examination

        The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of police officers, Administrative officers, Block Development Officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

        The Aspirant must be the citizen of India. He/she must know the state language. He must have a local Employment card. The Aspirant must have a degree in Bachelor of Art/Science/Commerce. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 40 years.

Selection Procedure:

       The main stages of election Procedure are,

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

       The Preliminary exam consists of objective type question with 150 questions with 1 hour time duration. The main exam consists of conventional type essay with five papers with 300 marks with 3 hours time duration. The interview marks are 75.

Technical Engineering Examination

         The examination I mainly conducted for the post of Assistant Engineers for different departments like Civil, Mechanical and Electrical.

Eligibility Criteria:

         The candidate must be the citizen of India. He/she must know the state language. He must have a local Employment card. The Aspirant must have a degree in Diploma of civil/Mechanical/Electrical. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 40 years.

Selection Procedure:

       The two stages of selection Procedure are,

  • Written Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

        The Written Examination consists two papers with 300 mark each with three hour time duration. The selected candidates are eligible for the interview process with 300 marks.

Medical and Veterinary officer Examination

        The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Medical Officers, Veterinary Officers and Poultry Development Officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

       The applicant must be the citizen of India. He/she must know the state language. He must have a local Employment card. The applicant must have a degree in Medicine and Surgery. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 40 years. The aspirant must have completed Rotatory Internship .The Institute must have registered with Medical Council of India.

Selection Procedure:

      The two stages of selection Procedure are,

  • Written Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

        The Written Examination consists two papers with 100 marks each with two hours time duration. The selected candidates are eligible for the interview process with 300 marks. The Papers are mainly based on the technical knowledge of the candidate.

 Assistant Architect Examination

       The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Architecture in Civil.

Eligibility Criteria:

       The candidate must be the citizen of India. He/she must know the state language. He must have a local Employment card. The Aspirant must have a degree in Bachelor of Architecture. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 40 years.

Selection Procedure:

      The two stages of selection Procedure are,

  • Written Examination
  • Interview

      The Written Examination consists four papers with 200 marks each with two hours time duration. The selected candidates are eligible for the interview process with 300 marks. The Papers are mainly based on the technical knowledge of the candidate.
