Hails from the most backward constituency of India. Prior to entering politics (resigned from service in Feb, 2014) was working as Chief Engineer in Railways. While in service, actively involved in social service. Organised many seminars, functions etc. for development of education, eradication of superstition, improve economic conditions, cultural and social status of the people of the constituency.

While in service in Railways, completed and commissioned :
Restoration of cyclone damaged railway track between Rahama-Paradeep, 23 Km in record number of 20 days in Nov, 1999; Sambalpur-Talcher New Railway line -175 Km in Odisha during 1998; Raipur-Bhilai 3rd line (2003) – 25 Km; and Gadag-Bagalkot Gauge Conversion – 90 Km in Karnataka during 2008.
At present the constituency is ranked 543rd out of 543 constituencies in India in terms of development. Different parameters are as under :
Literacy rate : 48% (2011); Per capita income : Rs. 14000; Electrification : 37% of villages; Railway line : 40 Km in one out of 3 districts; Doctors : 1 for 24000 people
His dream is to remove this backwardness stigma and is working towards the all round development so that it goes up in the rank.
