He is a Trustee of RKJ Foundation, a Charitable Trust which conducts wide spread philanthropic activities like Medical camps in rural areas for free treatment of disadvantaged citizens, setting up Relief Camps for Flood & Cyclone affected poor people, helping poor parents for marriage of their daughters, arranging trainings for poor farmers for better agrarian outputs, educational scholarships, plantations, promotion and encouragement of Oriya artists |

He has had several exposures overseas, including heading a Ferro Alloy Plant in Europe. His immense contribution to the Ferro Alloys Company and continuous commitment and support to the society & it’s various causes and for the protection of the environment, has earned him numerous accolades and Awards which include : Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award – by Rajiv Gandhi Forum, Odisha; Utkal Samman – 2004; Arch of Excellence (Business) Award – 2004; Gem of India Award – 2004; Maharaja Sri Ramchandra Bhanjdeo Award; Industrial Promotion in the State Award – 2005 by Governor of Odisha; Rajiv Gandhi Rastriya Ekta Samman – 2005, New Delhi; State Level Excellence Award – 2005 By Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha; Bhartiya Vikas Ratan Award – 2007; Bharat Gourav Award by Institute of Economic Studies – 2008; Award of Excellence by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha for Highest Relief Distribution during flood in Balasore District – 2008; Pride of the Nation Award – 2008; Think Odisha Leadership Award – 2010 for Best Education Supporty by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha; Best Citizens of India Award – 2010
