About Hoshangabad District :

The district takes its own name from the headquarters town Hoshangabad which was founded by “SULTAN HUSHANG SHAH GORI”, the second king of Mandu (Malwa) in ealry 15th century. Northern boundary of the district is river Narmada. Across this the district of Raisen and Sehore lies. The district of Betul lies in the south, where as the Harda district faces with the western and south-western boundaries and Narsingpur and Chhindwara districts, close to the north-eastern and south-eastern sides of the district respectively. Hoshangabad is well connected by road and rail from the state capital, Bhopal and it is about 70 km away from it. It is connected by rail with all major cities of the state. The total Geographical Area of the district is 5408.23 sq.km. As per Census 2011, the total population of the district is 1241350 of which 648725 are males and 592625 are females. The district is divided into 8 Tehsils, 7 Blocks and 428 Gram Panchayats for administrative reasons. The city is famous for its beautiful ghats along the banks of the Narmada river, Sethani ghat is a major attraction. There are colourful celebrations in the city on Narmada Jayanti

BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY

            Banaras Hindu University is also known as Central Hindu University. It is one of the residential University in Asia with 20,000 students .The campus is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and which is spread over an area of 1500 acres of land. It was established in the year 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The south campus is spread over 2,700 acres in Mirzapur about 60 km from Varanasi. The engineering Institute is designated as IIT in the year June 2012.The facilitie of the University are Wi-Fi Campus, library, Residential hostels, Bharaat kala bhawan (a museum of fine arts and artifacts).The south Campus mainly focus on the agricultural research area. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

            Entrance Examination for Under Graduate and Post Graduate are conducted through the entrance exam conducted by the university. The admission is done through the entrance exam and eligible candidates are selected.

            Admission for the B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharm/M.Pharm are done through the marks obtained in JEE and GATE examinations

            Admission for MBA and MIBA are done through the marks obtained in IIM-CAT exam.

Admission for PhD are done through the score obtained in CRET exam

Admission for medical exams are done through the PMT exam
