GOA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

      Goa Public Service Commission was first had its commission along with Daman and Diu. Later it was established alone for the State .The Commission was first started in the year 1954.The commission consists of a chairman and 3 members .The commission is a recommending authority to recruit the candidates for the post but the decision is been taken by the State Government. The Exams conducted by the Commission are,Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC)

  1. Group A Examination
  2. Group B Examination

Group A Examination

       Group A Examination is conducted for the posts of Deputy Collector, Commercial Tax officers, Registrar.

Eligibility Criteria:

  The Aspirant must be the citizen of India. The aspirant must hold a degree from a recognised University/Institution. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 years to 30 years. In case of SC/ST, their upper age limit is 32 years. For physically challenged, the upper age limit is 33 years.

Selection Procedure:

    The Selection Criteria is mainly based on

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Written Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

   The Screening Test consists of objective type questions. The marks for screening test are 100 .The time duration for the exam is 75 minutes. The main exam consists of descriptive type questions. The candidates with merit list are selected for the interview. The interview is based on the academic records of the aspirant.

Group B Examination

     The Group B Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Section officer, Excise and Taxation officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

     The candidate must be a citizen of India .The candidate must hold a degree from a renowned University/Institution. The age limit for the candidate is between 21 years to 30 years. The concession is provided for the candidate of SC/ST and Physically challenged people as per the regulations.

Selection Procedure:

     The levels of selection are

  • Written Examination
  • Interview

Based on the experience of the candidate the selection procedure may vary.

Exam Pattern:

            The Written Exam consists of two papers with each paper consists of 200 marks each with a time duration of 2hours .The candidates shortlisted in the exam are called for the interview process. The interview is mainly based on the academic scores.  Interview is used to know the personality, mental strength of the aspirant.

How to Apply

  • If the candidate is a new user, He/She must log onto the official website www.gpsc.gov.in
  • After filling the details, the candidate gets a UserId and password. If the candidate forgets his password, he/she can use the forgot password option to get a new password
  • With the Userid and password, the user can login to apply for the posts
  • The user must fill all the necessary details represented by * symbol
  • The Educational Qualification must be filled carefully; if any error is detected then application will be rejected
  • Upload the recent scanned photograph and signature of the candidate within the size measured
  • After submission of the application, the payment process should be done by the candidate else the application is referred as incomplete.
  • Mode of payment is chose by the candidate
  • After payment process is finished, take the printout for future reference.

GUJARAT PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

         Gujarat Public Service Commission was established in the year May 1st 1960. The Commission consists of one chairman and seven members. The commission is mainly developed for the recruitment of member who is honestly in the Government Sector. The mission of Commission is to promote the members and transfer according to their achievement. The Exams conducted by the Commission are,Gujarat Public Service Commission - GPSC

  • Competitive Examination
  • Civil Services Examination
  • Educational Service Examination

Competitive Examination

        The Competitive Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Gujarat Administrative Service, Gujarat Service of Engineering, Range Forest Officer and Gujarat Legislative Secretariat.

Eligibility Criteria:

        The aspirant must be the citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan. The age limit of the candidate is between 20 to 40 years. There is 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST candidate.

Selection Procedure:

      The Selection procedure methods are,

  • Written Examination
  • Viva Voce

Exam Pattern:

      The Written Examination consists of three papers with conventional essay type. The time duration for the examination is three hours. The interview process is conducted for eligible candidates alone.

 Civil Services Examination  

        The Civil Services Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Administrative officers, Police officers, Sub-Collectors.

Eligibility Criteria:

       The aspirant must be the citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan. The age limit of the candidate is between 20 to 40 years. There is 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST candidate.

Selection Procedure:

            The Selection procedure methods are

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Written Examination
  • Viva Voce

Exam Pattern:

        The Preliminary Examination consists of three papers .The three papers are Gujarati and English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude and General Studies. The marks obtained by the papers are 150 marks, 150 marks and 200 marks respectively. The main exam consists of five papers with Guajarati and English with conventional essay type with three hours time duration and objective papers with negative marks with 100 minutes. The interview score is 100.

 Educational Service Examination

          The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of professors, Lecturers, Teaching staffs.

Eligibility Criteria:

       The aspirant must be the citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan. The age limit of the candidate is between 20 to 40 years. There is 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST candidate. He/she must have knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. He/she must possess an experience in teaching.

Selection Procedure:

       The Selection procedure methods are

  • Written Examination
  • Viva Voce

Exam Pattern:

      The Written Examination consists of three papers with 150marks, 150 marks and 200 marks with 90 minutes,90 minutes and 2 hours respectively and other two paper are descriptive papers with three hours and 100 minutes with objective type papers. The interview score is 100.

  • Fill the necessary details in the application form
  • Upload the signature and photo of the candidate
  • Agree to the declaration in the application form
  • Submit all the necessary details
  • Using payment mode, Bank challan pay the fee for the posts
  • Pay in the nearby SBI bank
  • After payment, fill all the detail in the application form
  • Take the printout for future reference alone
