UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Union Public Service Commission is an India’s Central Agency which conducts examinations for all central Ministries. The examination is one of the toughest examinations in India. The Public Service Examination was started in the year 1st October 1926.The chairmanship was first attained by Sir Ross Barker. During the freedom, the commission was named as Federal Public Service Commission in 1935. Later independence the commission was recognized as Union Public Service Commission.
The Administration for the commission is handled by one chairman and ten members. The terms and conditions are regulated by the Union Public Service Commission. The appointment for the chairman and the other members are done by the President of India. The members appointed are of civil Servants with minimum 10 years experience either in both Central and State. The member reigns a period of 6 years. The resignation or dismissal shall be provided by the President of India due to his/her allegations

Each year the exam is conducted in 42 regular examination centers

Indian Engineering Service Examination
The Examination is mainly for the technical and managerial functions that are been supervised under the Government of India. The merit list is chosen from the competitive exams conducted by the Commission. The appointment for the post is given by the President of India based on the performance in their exams. The Exams are conducted mainly for the following departments
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility for the candidate is
- Candidate must be the citizen of India
- Candidate can be citizen of Nepal/Bhutan
- Candidate migrated to different countries with the intention of returning to Native
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or degree in Wireless Communication, Electronics and Radio Physics from a recognized University/Institution. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years. In case of OBC candidates the age limit is extended to 3 years. For SC/ST candidates the age limit is for 5 years. The candidate must apply only in online. The Payment fees for general Category is 200.There is no fees for Female and Reserved Category applicants.

The stages for Selection are
- Preliminary Examination
- Written Examination
- Interview
Exam Pattern:
The preliminary Exam consists of Objective type Questions with 200 marks with two hours time duration. The Written Exam is of conventional essay type questions with three hours time duration with three hours time duration. They are technical subject papers. The aspirants who have passed in the preliminary stage will attend the written Examination. The aspirants passing preliminary and main exam are eligible for the next stage Interview. The interview process is of 200 marks .The interview is done to check the mental caliber, decision making, how the candidates handle the difficult situation.

- Engineering Aptitude covering Logical reasoning and Analytical ability
- Engineering Mathematics and Numerical Analysis
- General Principles of Design, Drawing, Importance of Safety
- Standards and Quality practices in production, construction, maintenance and services
- Basics of Energy and Environment: Conservation, environmental pollution and degradation, Climate Change, Environmental impact assessment
- Basics of Project Management
- Basics of Material Science and Engineering
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) based tools and their applications in Engineering such as networking, e-governance and technology based education.
- Ethics and values in engineering profession.

- Fill all the necessary details
- Upload the signature and photo of the candidate
- Payment can be done through three modes a opted by the candidate
- Internet Banking
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Challan Submission
- If the candidate opts system Challan a system generated pay in slip a deposit the amount in the nearby SBI banks
- Candidate can select the centre of Examination
- Agree to the declaration in the application form
- After completing the Application form. The hardcopy is not necessary to send to the Commission
