Establishment : Chhatarpur was Established by Price Bundela in 1707.

Geographical location:Chhatarpur is located on north-eastern border of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It was existed in 1956. Chhatarpur is located between from 24 degrees 6 minutes to 25 degrees 20 minutes at north latitude and from 78 degrees 59 minutes 80 degrees 26 minutes at east longitude. It is spread over an area of ​​8687 square kilometers. It is surrounded by State of Uttar Pradesh in the north, At east Madhya pradesh  Panna district, south of Damoh district, south west of Sagar and Tikamgarh district in the west.
