About Churachandpur District :
Churachandpur district is situated in the south-western part of Manipur state. It was previously known as Manipur South District and is the biggest district in the state. The district is bounded on the north by Bishnupur district, on the east by Chandel district, on the south by Myanmar and on the west by Assam and Mizoram. The total geographical area of the district is 4570 Sq.Km. As of the 2011 census, Churachandpur district had a population of 271,274 of which 1,53,421 are males and 1,17,853 are females. The places of tourist interests in the districts are New Churachandpur, Tonglon Cave (South District), Behiang, Kaihlam Hill Range, Near Tipaimukh and Tipaimukh.
