About Jamtara District :
Jamtara District was created by separating the Dumka district. It is bounded by Deoghar district in north, Dumka and West Bengal in the east, Dhanbad and West Bengal in the south and Giridih in the west. It has an area of 1802 sq. km and population of the district is 7,90,207 as per Census 2011.. The district comprises one subdivision (Jamtara), six Revenue Circles and six development blocks viz.
