Nagpur city is the winter capital of the state of Maharashtra, with a population of 2,405,421. It has also recently been ranked as the cleanest city and the second greenest city of India.In addition to being the seat of annual winter session of Maharashtra state assembly “Vidhan Sabha”, Nagpur is also a major commercial and political center of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. ”

Kunwara Bhivsen Temple In Navegaon, Nagpur : For the Gonds in Central India, or for that matter many other tribal communities and even Hindus, all roads in the second half of the Chaitra month lead to the Kunwara Bhivsen temple in Parseoni tehsil in Nagpur district. Thousands of them converge from all directions every day for almost a month and quarter to celebrate the birth date of their deity Bhivsen who is supposed to be the fourth dharma guru of the Gond tribeand reincarnation of Mahadeo or Shiva. The celebrations have different forms. For those who have got what they wished from the deity, the celebrations include dancing with beating of drums, animal sacrifice and cooking the meat and eating it as prasad. Those who come seeking something, look forward to talking to the contented worshippers.

Sati Ansuya Mata Mandir Paradsingha : Shree Videhi Sati Ansuya Mata was born on 5th of May 1926 as the fifth child to mother Aanai and father Ramji at Paradsinga in Katol tahsil She lived with Paradsinga villagers, played song and showered enormous love and affection on them for six decades. Mata believed to have annihilated all the troubles and karma, fulfilled their desires and stood as the Head of the family for each of them. Their chaste love for her is so immense that they don’t requisite any other God except Mata so there is no other temple in the village.

Gurudwara Singh Sabha , Nagpur : Gurdwara Singh Sabha, situated in Kamptee road, 3kms north of Nagpur is the oldest Gurudwara of the city. It is a magnificent marble-clad structure which is about 12000 sq.ft. of langer asthan in the basement with most modern and hygenic kitchen. The main DIWAN asthan is of about 14000 sq. ft. with an height of about 30 ft fully marbled and good acoustic system. The grand door of the Gurudwara is 30ft in height. Apart from 15 rooms for visitors, the upper story of the Gurudwara also provide provision for living for Granthis and Sewadars.
There is a history behind the existence of Gurdwara Singh Sabha. The original structure of the Gurudwara was built during 1915 by Sardar Budh Singh, a pious religious person settle at Nagpur in the year 1885. In the 1927, when some Sikh families migrate from Punjab and settle down in Nagpur, they constructed another Gurudwara in the ‘Punjabi Line’ area under the leadership of Nirmal Tejsingh Ji, who was a Railway Engineer. Around 1948 both the Gurudwara were brought under a common management and in the year 1998 it was renovated and expanded to become what it is today, by the name of ‘Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha’

Hazrat Tajuddin Baba Dargah of Nagpur : Tajuddin Baba (January 21, 1861 – August 17, 1925) was an Sufi master considered by his followers to be a sadguru or qutub. He lived in Nagpur. Tajuddin was orphaned at a young age and was raised by his maternal grandmother and uncle Abdul Rahman. He attended a Madrasah in Kamptee, near Nagpur, where he met Hazrat Abdulla Shah who initiated him into the spiritual path. Shah gave him a dry fruit to eat, saying, “Eat less, sleep less, and speak less. Read Qur’an.” With this contact Tajuddin Baba is said to have lost his material consciousness and began to experience a sense of oneness or “Adwaita.” Later, he was committed to a insane asylum in Nagpur by the British. In the hospital he became widely regarded as a sage and word spread outside of the hospital walls. Eventually people began to come to the hospital for Tajuddin’s darshan. Maharaja Raghuji Bhosale took the Baba out of asylum to his own palace. The Maharaja put his palatial building, viz, Lal Kothi, at Sakarddara completely at the disposal of the saint. He was honored by both Muslims and Hindus.

Telankhedi Shiv Mandir In Nagpur : Telankhedi Shiva temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in his pristine form is located nearby the famous temple of Hanuman. Shri Shantinath Jain Temple in Ramtek , Nagpur : Situated at Ramtek, is known as Shri Shantinath Digambar Jain Atishaya Kshetra and includes 15 temples and shrines framed by a wall. The idol of Bhagawan Shantinatha installed in the Shantinath Mandir is believed to fulfill the desires of the devotees. Ramtek has been decribed by Kalidasa in his lyric poem Meghaduta (“cloud messenger”). It is believed that Ramchandra once had visited this place.
According to a legend the ruler of Nagpur, named Appasaheb Bhonsle, came to Ramtek with his Minister Vadhman Sawvaji.. After having darshan of Ramchandraji, he invited Sawvaji to share meals with him. But Sawvaji, who was a Jain, refused with an entreaty that he would not have meal without having Jinadarshana before. Hence a search was carried out by royal order and the mentioned idol of Bhagwan Shantinath was found lying under a tree. Then, after having darshan, Sawvaji had his meal. Diksha Bhumi In Nagpur : Deekshabhoomi is a sacred monument of Buddhism at the place where Babasaheb Ambedkar converted to Buddhism along with his about 380,000 followers on October 14, 1956. Ambedkar’s conversion to Buddhism is still a guidance for the masses in India.
Deeksha literally means acceptance of religion. Bhoomi means land. So, literally Deekshabhoomi means the land where people get converted to Buddhism. Deekshabhoomi is one of the two places of great importance in the life of Ambedkar, another being Chaityabhoomi at Mumbai.

The story goes that Shri Ram rested here a while with Laxman and Sita. Hence, the name. It was here that the prolific Sanskrit poet Kalidas wrote his epic Meghdootam. Besides the Shri Ram Temple and the Kalidas Memorial, there are Ramgiri Hill and Ramsagar lake.
