Prarthana Samaj in Indian History:

• Founded in 1867 in Bombay by Dr. Atmaram Pandurang (not by MG Ranade) as an offshoot of the Brahmasamaj.
• It was later joined by M.G. Ranade and R.G. Bhandarkar.
