AIPMT 2014 Exam Dates

All India Pre-Medical Test to be held on 04th May, 2014 (Sunday)  in selected cities across the Country and Abroad. CBSE will conduct All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test for admission to  MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic session 2014-15 for the 15% seats in Government Medical/Dental  Colleges all over India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

AIPMT 2014 Eligibility

All India Pre Medical Test 2014 is going to replace NEET UG as per directives of Supreme Court of India. However, all other conditions such as eligibility, exam pattern, exam syllabus are same as its previous version NEET UG.

Eligibility for AIPMT 2014 All India and State Quota Seats 

All India Quota Seats:
  • (i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
  • (ii) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Candidate must born on or between

(a) 01.01.84 to 01.01.97 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 01.01.89 to 01.01.97 (Other Category)

State Quota Seats:
  • (i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
  • (ii) Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.

 Candidates from Andhra Pradesh and J&K

  • (i) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh and J&K are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit an affidavit, in original,  on non-judicial Stamp Paper of  Rs 10/- duly sworn in before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-

a) They are not eligible to seek admission for MBBS/BDS seats in Medical/ Dental Colleges in the States of Andhra Pradesh and J&K.

(b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh and J&K.

  • (ii) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh and J&K are however eligible for 100% seats for MBBS/BDS seats in Medical/ Dental Colleges in the States of Andhra Pradesh and J&K.
  • (iii) Applications not accompanied with the required affidavits   or accompanied with incomplete, unattested or photocopy of the affidavit shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter. The affidavits submitted by such candidates will be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.

Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats

In compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test 2014, for the academic session 2014-15. This entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.

There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test 2014 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions.
The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the DGHS. The Counselling for admission in seats under the control of other participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.
During counselling, the eligibility criteria, various documents, etc. of the meritorious candidate is verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and Medical/Dental College is allotted to the candidate according to the choice.

  • Candidates attempting Parts-Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all the 14 programmes offered.
  • Candidates attempting Parts-Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible for Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes only.
  • The selection of pattern (Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics or Biology) has to be decided at the time of slot booking.
  • All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only.
  • Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark.
  • Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same .
  • No negative marks for wrong answers.
  • The duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
