About Poonch District :

District Poonch or Punch is one of the most remote districts of Jammu and Kashmir. It is bounded by the Line of Control (boundary between Indian and Pakistan-administered Kashmir) on three sides (north, west and south). The 1947-48 war between India and Pakistan divided the earlier district into two parts. One went to Pakistan and the other became part of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Noori Chhamb :

Noori Chammb associated with the name of Mughal queen Noor Jahan is famous for its scenic beauty & water fall. It is situated near Behram Galla in Surankote tehsil about 45 kms. from Poonch town. The fall of the stream gives rise to dense clouds of water vapours which engulfs the area & spread all over. The Emperor Jahangir had developed so much fancy & liking for this fall that he named it Noori Chammb after the name of his beloved queen Noor Jahan. Mughal queen used to stay here for relaxsation and bath while on way to Kashmir. She had got fixed a mirror besides the fall on the mountain wall where she used to have her make- up after the bath. The remnants of the mirror are still there.

Girgan Dhok and Lakes :It is a valley of seven lakes which is located about 70 kms. from Poonch town. Tourists during the course of their visit to Poonch should not miss the opportunity to see the lovely and beautiful seven lakes namely Sukhsar, Neelsar, Bhagsar, Katorasar, Kaldachnisar and Nandansar situated at the high altitude of 12000 ft. in the Buffliaz belt.

  

 

Nandansar is one of the biggest lake near Girgen dhok. The length of this lake is about one mile and its breadth is half a mile. These lovely lakes have their own charm which a visitor would long remember.

Poonch Fort :The foundation of historic fort building in the capital of erestwhile Poonch Riyasat, presently the headquarter of truncated Poonch district, was laid by Raja Adbul Razaq Khan in 1713 A.D. The actual construction work was started by his illustrious son Raja Rustam Khan who was a great lover of architecture and after whose name Poonch was earlier known as Rustam Nagar. Originally the Fort was planned as a composite structure for the fortification of the town as well as for housing the Royal Palace. Alyhough Raja Rustam Khan originally belonged to Rathore clan of Rajasthan, the architectural style of the Fort had distinct Mughal influence although quality of construction had not reached the perfection of better known Mughal architecture.

 

During the Sikh rule (1819-1846) the central block of the building was added which bears the distinct influence of Sikh architectural style.Fort building in his present style and shape owes to the benevolence of Raja Moti Singh (1850-1892) who engaged an European arcitect to design the front block of the Fort. The work done was so superb that the appearance of the fort changed into a Palace of exquisite beauty which dominates the entire town of Poonch. It was during Raja Baldev Singh’s time that the fort building complex was converted into a secretariat of the kingdom after shifting the Palace to Moti Mahal.

Mandi :It is a small village in a narrow valley enclosed by steep and grassy hills of no great elevation, situated near the confluence of two streams namely Gagri and Pulsta. Mandir Swami Budha Amar Nath Ji is situated in this village. Mandi is about 20 kms. from Poonch town. Due to cool climate and proximity to the poonch town, Mandi has become a favourable place for tourists to visit, in summer. Most of the people of Mandi area speak Kashmiri language

Loran :Loran is a small village 35 kms. away from Poonch town and is situated at the foot of high mountains of Pir Panjal range and is another attraction for the tourists. Loran Nallah which flows through this beautiful village makes the place more enchanting to the eyes. Loran was once the capital of Poonch state under Hindu rulers upto 1542 A.D. It was then known as Loran-Kote. There are ruins of the Lohar Kote fort which was once called the Gateway of Kashmir.

Nandishool :Nandishool is a beautiful water fall about 12 km. from Loran and 6 Km. from Sultan Pathri. Water comes from Pir Panchal and fall on a glacier. It is about 150 feet high fall. One tourist hut is constructed by Rural Development Department near Nandishool.

Surankote :Surankote is a small village situated on the banks of river suran and has very charming valley surronded by lofty peaks which are covered with snow during winter and is popularly called Pahalgam of Poonch. In Rajatarangini, this town was described as Sawernik in the past. Nearly in 1036 A.D. there was a big fort called Kote which ultimately changed to its present name of Surankote.

Behramgala :It is situated at the foot hill of 8,600 feet high Rattan Peak on the historic Mughal Road in Poonch. Behramgala is a small plateau surronded by mountains and forests. It is near the confluence of Parnai & Thata Pani streams which further adds to its otherwise scenic and natural beauty. It is about 40 kms. from Poonch town.

Dehra-Gali :Dehra-Gali 45 kms from Poonch town is another attraction for the tourists owing to its salubrious climate, thick forests, cool breeze and enchanting view of surrounding hills, situated at a height of about 6300 feet.

About Balrampur District :

Balrampur is a city and a municipal board in Balrampur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated on the bank of river Rapti and is the district headquarters of Balrampur district. The creation of Balrampur District was done by G.D.No. 1428/1-5/97/172/85-R-5 Lucknow dated May 25, 1997 by the division of District Gonda. Siddharth Nagar, Shrawasti, Gonda District, are situated in the east-west and south sides respectively and Nepal State are Situated in its northern side.One of the most popular Hindu worship place is situated in Tulsipur about 27 kilometers from the district headquarters. It is known as Devi Patan.The temple has the distinction of having included in 51 “Shaktipeethas” of Goddess Durga according to Hindu mythology.Balrampur city is in close vicinity of Shravasti where Lord Gautam Buddha is considered to have displayed his supernatural powers in the spiritual transformation of Angulimala, a famous dacoit who wore a necklace (mala) of fingers (anguli).It has an average elevation of 105 metres (344 ft).The area of the district is 336917 Hec. In which the agriculture irrigated area is 221432 Hec.In the north of the district is situated the Shivalics ranges of the Himalyas which is called Tarai Region.

AIPMT 2014 – Information for Parents / Guardians

(1) Parents/Guardians are advised to ensure that their ward should not indulge in unfairmeans activities/malpractices which breach the examination rules. If any candidate is found to be indulged in any such activity he/she shall be debarred from taking this examination permanently in future and shall also be liable for criminal action and/or any other action deem fit by the Board.

(2) The conduct of AIPMT Examination would be video graphed. The candidates are required to keep their head in upright position and face the camera during the videography so that their identity could be clearly established.

(3) It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her postcard size (4”X6”) photograph during the conduct of AIPMT Examination. Photograph should have white background only. On the reverse side of the photograph, candidate must mention his/her name, Application Form number, roll number of Examination. This photograph will be collected by the Invigilator concerned after matching the photograph with the candidate appearing in the Examination.

(4) Candidates are required to affix clear thumb Impression in the confirmation page of online application form before submitting to the Board and also in the Attendance Sheet at the examination hall for verification of Identity.

(i) The Examination Hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination Hall.

(ii) The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission in the Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess the valid Admit Card shall not be admitted to the Examination Hall under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.

(iii) During the examination time, the invigilator will check Admit Card of the candidates to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her signatures in the place provided in the Answer Sheet on SIDE-1.

(iv) A seat with a roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats. If a candidate is found appearing in the Test from a seat or room other than the one allotted to him/her, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

(v) A candidate who comes after the commencement of the examination shall not be permitted to appear in the examination.

(vi) Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, envelope or any other material except the Admit Card inside the Examination Hall.

(vii) Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Geometry Box, Electronic Digital Watches with facilities of calculators, cellular phones, pagers or any other electronic gadget are not allowed inside the Examination Hall.

Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including Mobile Phone to the venue of the examination as arrangement for safe keeping cannot be assured.

(viii) No candidate will leave his/her seat or the Examination Room/Hall until the Test concludes as per schedule. Candidates should not leave the Room/Hall without handing over their Answer Sheets to the invigilator on duty. In case of emergency or on medical ground, candidates may take special permission of the Centre Superintendent and Observer on duty and the same should be reported to the Board in writing by the Centre Superintendent and the Observer.

(ix) Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board so that they have no difficulty in marking responses in the Answer Sheet even if the tables provided in the Examination Hall do not have smooth surface. They will also bring their own Ball Point Pens of good quality. These will not be supplied by the Board.

(x) Smoking in the Examination Hall during examination hours is strictly prohibited.

(xi) Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken by the candidates into the Examination Halls during examination hours.

(xii) The Test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

(xiii) A signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at half-time. A signal will also be given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking the responses.

(xiv) The candidate must sign twice on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place, first time immediately after the commencement of Examination and second time while delivering the Answer Sheet to the invigilator. The candidates are also required to put their left hand thumb impression in the space provided on the Attendance Sheet.

(xv) For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of test for any reason, re-test shall not be held by the Board under any circumstances.

AIPMT 2014 Status of Receipt of Confirmation Page of online Application Form with Fee

Status of receipt of the Confirmation Page of online Application Form with fee in CBSE would be hosted on Board’s website. Efforts would be made to host the status of receipt of all Confirmation pages received by the Board on website www.aipmt.nic.in within 15 days time from the date of receipt of the same. Candidates are advised to check the status of receipt of the Confirmation Page in CBSE. If the status shown is ‘form is not received’, candidates are advised to send the following documents to the Board within 07 days from the last date of hosting of the information on the website:

a) A Copy of the computer generated Confirmation Page of the online Application Form after affixing and attesting the photograph in the same manner as done previously.

b) Original receipt issued by the Post Office for having dispatched the Application Form.

c) Proof of fee paid (Photocopy of the Challan, if fees remitted through Bank/Photocopy of the statement of the Card if fee is paid through Debit/Credit Card). In case, the fee has not been received by the Board, candidate may be asked to pay the fee again. No request regarding non-receipt of Application Form would be entertained by the CBSE after lapse of 07 days period from the last date of hosting of information on the website. Candidates are advised to retain the photocopy of the Computer generated Confirmation Page of the online Application Form, Proof of remitting fee and the original receipt issued by the post office for having despatched the Application Form to the Board.

  • Candidates are advised to take passport size photographs with white background and one post card size (4”x6”) photograph. Passport size photographs are to be used to affix on the Confirmation Page of online Application and also for Counselling/Admission. Post Card size photograph will be collected from candidates by Centre Superintendent at Centre during AIPMT Examination. Before affixing photograph on Confirmation Page candidate must write down his/her name, Application Form number and Contact Number on the reverse side of both the photographs with Ball point pen only. Affix one attested recent good quality colour STUDIO photographs with white background in the space earmarked for this in the Confirmation Page. The photograph must be taken on or after 01.12.2013 indicating clearly the name of candidate alongwith the date of taking the photograph as shown below. Photograph should not have cap or goggles.
  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. POLAROID and COMPUTER generated photos are not acceptable. The photograph should be attested by the Principal/Head of the Institution or by a Gazetted Officer in such a way that half the signature of the attesting officer should appear on the photograph and the remaining on the Application Form. Attestation should be done at the bottom part of the photograph so that the photograph is not defaced. The photograph should be firmly affixed to the Application Form by gum/fevicol and should not be pinned or stapled. Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected. Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph affixed is fabricated i.e. de-shaped or seems to be hand-made or computer made, the form of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means practices and candidate would accordingly be dealt with the rules of unfair means.
  •  The candidates are required to put their signature in the appropriate box given in the Confirmation Page in running hand writing and also to affix clear Left Hand Thumb Impression at the appropriate space provided for it. Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form would liable to be rejected. Further, unsigned application/application without clear thumb impression will also be rejected.
  •  Candidate should firmly tie or staple together the confirmation page of his/ her online Application Form and enclosures, if any. Please use any good quality envelope of A5 size and paste the computer generated Boards address slip.
  •  Request for change in any particulars in the online Application shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

(i) The candidate, before submitting the application form online, shall satisfy his/her eligibility to appear in the test. The candidate is required to go through the Information Bulletin carefully and acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to the submission of the Application Form.

(ii) The Candidate should fill his/her complete postal address with the pin code and e-mail address (own or parents only) for further correspondence.

(iii) It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fills-in his/her correct postal and e-mail addresses in the Application Form. Candidates must ensure that address given by them be such at which candidate may be able to get the communication till the counselling is over. THE BOARD SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS IN TRANSIT OR FOR AN INCORRECT ADDRESS GIVEN BY THE APPLICANT IN THE APPLICATION FORM. Candidate should not give the address of Coaching Centre in their application form.

(iv) Candidates should fill Code Number against the column provided for Qualifying Examination passed. If a candidate does not fall within the qualifications prescribed as per Code numbers 02 to 07, he/she should furnish complete details and fill up qualifying examination Code as 01. Candidates appearing in 12th Standard in 2014 should fill up qualifying code as 01.
