About Kushinagar District :

Kushinagar, district of the eastern Uttar Pradesh, is known for its cultural heritage all over the world. It is one of the four holiest places for the Buddhists. At Kushinagar, Great Lord Buddha, founder of Buddhism, delivered his last sermon. Outside India, it is an International Buddhist Pilgrimage Centre. The followers of the Buddhism, especially from Asian Countries, wish to visit this place at least once in their lifetime.

Kushinagar,  situated at  53 kms   east from Gorakhpur on the National Highway -28,  lies between lattitude 26° 45´ N and 83° 24´ E. The district head-quarters is  Padrauna,   71 Kms from Gorakhpur  and 336 Kms  from Lucknow. It  is a  terai   area  covering the geographical area of 2873.5 Sq. km.  It is bounded by districts – Mahrajganj in the west, Gorakhpur in the southern- west , Deoria in the south and Bihar state in the east.

Tourist Places :

Mahaparinirvana Temple

This temple stands on the same plinth as the main Nirvana Stupa behind it. The reclining Nirvana statue of Lord Buddha inside the temple is 6.10 metres long and is made of monolith red – sand stone. It represents the “Dieing – Buddha” reclining on his right side with his face towards the west. It is placed on a large brick-pedestal with stone-posts at the corners. There is an inscription datable to the 5th Century A.D. recording that the statue was “the appropriate religious gift of the Mahavihara Swami Haribala”.

Nirvana Chaitya (Main Stupa)

Nirvana Chaitya is located just behind the Main Parinirvana Temple. It was excavated by Carlleyle in the year 1876. During excavations, a copper-plate was found, which contained the text of the “Nidana-Sutra” which concluded the statement that plate had been deposited in the “Nirvana-Chaitya” by one Haribala, who also installed the great Nirvana Statue of Buddha in the temple front. A copper vessel was also recovered which contained silver coins of Kumar Gupta, an emperor of Gupta Dynasty, 5th Century A.D.

Ramabhar Stupa

Ramabhar Stupa, also called a Mukutbandhan-Chaitya,

is the cremation -place of Buddha. This Site is 1.5 km

east of the main Nirvana Temple on the Kushinagar-

Deoria road. this Stupa has a huge circular drum with a

diameter of 34.14 meters on the top consisting of the

two or more terraces and is 47.24 meters in diameter at

the base.

Matha Kuar Shrine

A Colossal statue of Lord Buddha is installed, which is  carved out of one

block which represents Buddha  seated under the “Bodhi Tree” in a pose

known as  ” Bhumi Sparsh Mudra ” (Earth touching attitude).  The inscription

at the base of statue is datable to the  10th or 11th Century A.D.

About Etah District :

Etah district (Urdu: ایٹا ضلع, Hindi: एटा ज़िला) is one of the districts of Uttar Pradesh state of India, and Etah town is  the district headquarters. Etah district is a part of Aligarh Division. It is dominated by Yadavs and Rajputs.

According to the 2011 census Etah district has a population of 1,761,152. This gives it a ranking of 272nd in India (out of a total of 640 Districts). The district has a population density of 717 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,860 /sq mi) . Its population growth rate over the decade 2001-2011 was 12.77 %. Etah has a sex ratio of   863 females  for every 1000 males, and a literacy rate of 73.27 %

EAMCET Medical 2014 Online Application

Submission of  Online Application for EAMCET – 2014

EAMCET Medical 2014 Online Application  should be submitted through Online mode only. The following information must be kept ready for filling the details during Online submission:
a. Hall ticket Number of Qualifying Examination
b. Hall ticket Number of S.S.C. or equivalent
c. Date of Birth
d. Caste in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates
e. PH, NCC, Sports etc.
f. Income Upto One Lakh or Up to Two Lakhs or More than Two Lakhs (Rupees)
g. Study or Residence or relevant certificate for proof of local status (last 12 years)
h. Choice of Help Line Centres for Certificate Verification and options at the time of admission
Note: The above certificates are to be submitted during the counseling for admission.

Online submission:
For Online submission, visit the website www.apeamcet.org. A candidate has to pay Rs.250/- as Registration Fee and late fee (if applicable) by opting any of the following two modes of payment:

(a) AP ONLINE / E-Seva / Mee Seva.

(b) Debit / Credit Card.

  • After filling the Online Application Form with the required details, the candidate is required to verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled In Online Application Form will be generated which contains Registration Number along with filled in details. The candidate is required to take printout of Filled In Online Application Form and it is to be submitted to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College where studied the qualifying examination. The candidate should use the Registration Number for future correspondence.
  • Mere appearance and qualifying at EAMCET-2014 does not confer any right for admission into professional courses. Candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in the relevant G.O at the time of admission.

EAMCET Medical 2014 Exam Pattern

1. The Entrance test is of 3 hour duration and the question paper consists of a total 160 questions comprising of a total of

  • 80 questions in Biology (Botany – 40, Zoology – 40)
  • 40 questions in Physics
  •  40 questions in Chemistry

2. All questions are objective type (multiple choice) only and each question carries one mark.

3.Candidates are required to answer all questions. All questions carry equal marks.

4.There is no negative marking for incorrect  answers.

1. During the ONLINE submission of EAMCET 2014 Application form, the candidate is hereby informed to select the required REGIONAL CENTRE / ZONE (in case of HYDERABAD) of his choice and once chosen, request for change of Regional Centre / HYDERABAD ZONE will not be entertained later.
2. The Convener reserves the right to add or delete some Test Centres from the list of Regional Centres notified.
3. The Convener reserves the right to allot the candidates to any Regional Centre other than that opted by the candidates.
4. Candidate has to submit not more than one application either for ‘E’ or ‘AM’ or ‘E&AM’ category test. If any candidate submits more than one application for one category, the Convener reserves the right to reject all the applications or accept any one of them only.

*For candidates submitted with late fee of Rs.5,000/- and 10,000/- Test Centre will be allotted only at Hyderabad .

EAMCET Medical 2014 Eligibility

Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for EAMCET-2014

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
  •  Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in  the A.P. Educational  Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
  •  Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination  with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks  taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / BioTechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of  candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe & Backward Classes, the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40%  marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / BioTechnology. 
  •  Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
