Enrolled as an Advocate of the Calcutta High Court on April 17, 1989. Practised primarily on the Constitutional and Civil sides with emphasis on Service and Arbitration matters in the High Court at Calcutta as well as other High Courts, the Supreme Court of India and the Central and State Administrative Tribunals. Obtained Diploma in Cyber Law. Was Associate Editor of the Calcutta High Court Notes. Appointed as Senior State Government Advocate; Counsel for Calcutta High Court; Counsel, Eastern Railway, Metro Railway and Damodar Valley Corporation. This exam was taken place in 75 cities with 581 exam centres across India. Students felt that the examination level was moderate to tough. Physics were tough for few whereas English comprehension and reasoning part was tricky for other students. Biology was easiest compared to other sections.

One definitely has to sit through competitive exams and admission is based on merit.

Modern –To become an M.B.B.S. doctor, one must complete 12th standard with science stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% in physics, chemistry and biology and then compete in PMT exams. Upon selection and successful completion, an M.B.B.S. degree is conferred and one can practice medicine. It is common these days for students to go ahead for further studies and acquire an M.D. degree as it improves one’s future prospects.

The Entrance Test JIPMER UG 2015

JIPMER 2015 offers admission to its 150 M.B.B.S. seats through an online entrance test. JIPMER will open registrations for its M.B.B.S. course in the month of March 2015. Candidates will be able to submit their applications online on the institute’s portal www.jipmer.edu.in. Entrance test will be conducted in the first week of June 2015. Results will be out in the second week of June, post counselling in the initial weeks of July, the course shall commence in the 3rd week of July.

The computer based entrance test will be conducted online through designated test centers in major cities all over the country.

JIPMER UG 2015 Selection Process

Selection to the JIPMER 2015 undergraduate course will be purely based on merit in the entrance exam result. The result of only qualified candidates will be declared. The qualifying marks will depend on availability of seats, number of applicants, and difficulty level in the entrance examination.

JIPMER UG 2015 Exam Pattern

For JIPMER MBBS 2015 exam, there is no specific prescribed syllabus. However, 10+2 syllabus of State Board as well as CBSE Board are to be referred for the examination.

The exam will have 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Logic & Quantitative Reasoning, English and Comprehension.

Important points of JIPMER MBBS 2015 exam pattern are given below:

  • JIPMER MBBS 2015 exam will be conducted in English language.
  • The test will have multiple choice questions.
  • The candidates will have to pick the correct answer from the set of four options.
  • For each correct response the candidate will be awarded 1 mark.
  • There is no negative marking in the exam and no marks will be given for the questions left unanswered.

JIPMER UG 2015 Eligibility

  1. The candidate should be an Indian national.
  2. The candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of admission or be of that age on or before December 31st in the year of his/her admission to 1st  year MBBS.
  3. The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2, majoring in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and Mathematics.
  4. The applicant must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually obtaining a minimum of 50% mark. For OPH candidates in general category, the minimum marks taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination is 45%. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ OPH candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination are 40%.

JIPMER UG 2015 Syllabus

The syllabus for JIMPER 2015 is not prescribed by the examination authority. However, the questions in the exam are widely based on the topics covered in 10+2 syllabus.
