JIPMER 2014 Merit List

JIPMER 2014 Merit List would be based on percentile and the percentile shall be determined on the basis of the average marks obtained by the first top ten candidates in the Entrance Examination MBBS – 2014.
Merit List would be drawn category wise based on minimum percentile as given below:

In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS course at JIPMER, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a percentile of 50 and above in the Entrance Examination. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes including OPH, the minimum percentile shall be 40. In respect of Unreserved Orthopedic Physically Challenged (OPH) candidates, 45 shall be the minimum percentile. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in the Entrance Examination will not be considered for admission and their names will not be included in the Merit List.

Only those NRI / OCI candidates who opt for admission under Self Financing Scheme at the time of application itself will be considered for the merit list to 5 Seats for NRI/OCI status candidates.

JIPMER 2014 Instruction For Entrance Examination

Exam Rules and Regulations for Candidates :-

1. Candidates should report at the exam venue latest by 07.30 am. Entry to examination hall closes at 09:30 AM.

2. No entry will be permitted beyond 09:30 AM under any circumstances. This is to facilitate completing all the formalities including Biometrics and Photo capture.

3. Exam starts at 10:00 AM. Candidate will not be permitted to leave the exam hall before 12:30 PM (i.e. time of close of examination)

4. Carry only Hall Ticket inside the hall. No candidate will be allowed to take the examination without producing the valid Hall Ticket.

5. The Mode of Examination is On-line based Distributed Object System Examination consisting of 200 single best response types multiple choice questions. Test Administration on 08-06-2014 (Sunday).

6. Biometric authentication through digital device and hard copy of signature and fingerprint in attendance sheet will be taken. Cooperation of the candidate is solicited.

7. Do not bring any other papers except Hall Ticket. Do not bring cellular phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in-calculators / memory, ear Phones. (No arrangements will be made by the duty staff for safe keeping and returning the above gadgets if brought).

8. In case any candidate is caught or found to use any means of techno copying he / she shall be liable to be punished by the competent authority.

9. Use of unfair means /impersonation will lead to summary cancellation of selection / admission.

10. JIPMER reserves the right to reschedule the date / time of the Examination, depending upon local conditions.

General Instructions:-

(i) JIPMER 2014 Instruction For Entrance Examination : Biometric finger print and image capture will be done for every candidate on the day of Examination inside the examination hall by the authorized personnel.

(ii) Candidates taking the Entrance Examination will be subjected to thorough frisking before being allowed into the hall at the stipulated time.

(iii) The candidate must show, on demand, the Hall Ticket for admission in the Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess the Hall Ticket issued by the JIPMER shall not be admitted to the Examination Hall under any circumstances by the Center Superintendent.

(iv) During the examination time, the invigilator will check Hall Ticket of the candidates to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.

(v) The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) / online. Check the seating plan and Identify the Room / Lab allotted as per your Hall Ticket number.

(vi) Candidates are not allowed to carry any text material, printed or written, bits of papers, envelope or any other material except the Hall Ticket inside the Examination Hall.

(vii) Pens, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Geometry Box, Electronic Digital Watches with facilities of calculators, cellular phones, pagers or any other electronic gadget are not allowed inside the Examination Hall.

(viii) Carry only the Hall Ticket inside the hall.

(ix) No candidate, without the special permission of the Center Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned, will leave his/her seat or the Examination Room until the final bell is rung.

(x) Smoking in the Examination Hall during examination hours is strictly prohibited.

(xi) Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken by the candidates into the Examination Halls during examination hours.

(xii) The Test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Hall Ticket and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

(xiii) A bell will be rung at the beginning of the examination and at the closing time.

(xiv) The candidate must sign in the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place and affix the Left Index Finger impression against the appropriate column of the Attendance Sheet. Failure to comply to this requirement will lead to the annulling of his candidature without any prior intimation.

(xv) For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of examination for any reason, re-examination shall not be held by the JIPMER under any circumstances.

JIPMER 2014 Exam Updates : All information will be update regarding JIPMER 2014 MBBS entrance examination

JIPMER 2014 Exam Pattern

Detail Test Pattern :-

(1) The examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium only.

(2) The questions for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination 2014 will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State  Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards.

(3) JIPMER 2014 Exam Pattern On-Line Based Distributed Object System of Examination. The duration of JIPMER 2014 exam will 2hrs 30 minutes.

(4) The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 200 single best response type MCQs and will  cover all subjects.

(4) The Entrance Examination will be of multiple choice type questions totaling 200 in the subjects of

Physics  (60 Marks),

Chemistry (60 Marks),

Biology (60 Marks) &

English (20 Marks).

Each answer with correct response  shall be awarded one mark. Zero mark will be given for the question not answered. There is no NEGATIVE  MARKING.

(5) All questions will be of one best / correct response type having four alternatives.

(6)  For each correct (MCQ) response, one mark will be awarded. No negative marks will be awarded in the  incorrect response.

(7) JIPMER 2014 Entrance Examination will held through CBT (Computer Based Test) / Online test only.

Applying for JIPMER is basically depends on both online & offline process.

Offline Process:

The prospectus with the application forms can be obtained against only cash payment of required amount from State bank of India, JIPMER Campus, Puducherry-605006, on all working days following the advertisement. State Bank of India, JIPMER Campus at JIPMER is the only branch where the applictions are sold against cash payment.

The prospectus and application forms can also be had from professor (Academic), JIPMER  Puducherry – 605006 through postal requests, accompanied by a M.I.C.R  bank draft of required amount drawn in favour of “Accounts Officer, JIPMER” payable at any Nationalized Banks in Puducherry / Union Territory of Puducherry. 13*7 cm self addressed label must accompany the postal request for correct delivery of the application form.

Online Process:

JIPMER MBBS application can be submitted by online process (Internet based) by accessing the website:www.jipmer.edu.in link.

The candidate should first pay the non-refundable application fee of required amount by obtaining a Demand Draft, as the draft details are required while filling up on-line form.

Candidates are required to take a print of single on-line application form after successful submission of data. The Printed form with the requisite signatures ,photograph,attestations,left thumb print of applicant and the demand draft must be sent by speed post so as to reach the Proffessor(Academic),JIPMER , Puducherry-605006 by prescribed date.

Important Instructions to Candidates :

1. EAMCET Medical 2014 Special Instructions

Material to be brought on the date of examination Hall Ticket along with Filled In Online Application Form with duly affixed recent colour photograph attested by Gazetted Officer (or) Principal of the College where candidate has studied the qualifying examination. However, Signature of the candidate and Left Hand Thumb impression is to be filled in the respective spaces provided in the Filled In Online Application form in the presence of Invigilator only.

a. Hall ticket issued to the candidate is an important document. Candidates are required to preserve it carefully.
b. Hall ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
c. Candidate shall arrive at the examination hall atleast half an hour before the commencement of the examination. This will enable the candidate to familiarize himself/herself with the OMR Answer Sheet.
d. Candidates will not be allowed to enter examination hall once the examination has commenced.
e. Candidates are permitted to use Blue / Black Ball Point Pen only.
f. Candidates are required to bring the following to the examination hall: i) Hall Ticket ii) A good Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black) iii) Filled In Online Application Form and iv) Attested copy of Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST category candidates only).
g. The candidate should not bring any other material except the mentioned official documents. This instruction sheet also should not be brought into the examination hall. Candidates should not bring Log books, Tables, Calculators, Pagers, Cell Phones etc., into the examination hall. Any candidate found in possession of any forbidden material will be sent out of the examination hall.
h. Candidate shall first fill in the details concerning the Question Paper Booklet Number and Booklet Code on the OMR Answer Sheet as well as Nominal Roll. The candidate shall read carefully the instructions before he/she starts answering the questions.
i. Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the examination. In no case they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination. Before leaving the examination hall, the candidates must ensure to return the OMR Answer Sheet to the Invigilator. Candidate is permitted to leave the examination hall only when the Invigilator satisfies with the complete receipt of OMR Answer Sheets and allow the candidates to leave the hall. The candidate will be permitted to carry the Question Paper Booklet along with them after the completion of the
examination.
j. Every candidate appearing for EAMCET – 2014 shall be provided with a specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet (Answer Sheet), on which the candidate shall have to mark his or her answers and other relevant data. The method of marking the answers is illustrated in this section. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking the answers and other entries on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Answer Sheet
thoroughly and practice the same at their residence which should make it easy for them to answer in the examination hall.
k. The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Answer Sheet should be handled carefully by the candidates. They are advised not to fold, wrinkle or tear the answer sheet under any circumstances. Further, the candidates are advised not to scribble or make any marks on the answer sheet except marking the answers and other relevant data at appropriate places on the answer sheet. Any violation of these instructions will automatically lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
l. i) Candidate shall note that they will not be given under any circumstances a second blank Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet. Hence, they are advised to be careful while handling their answer sheet.
ii) In EAMCET – 2014, the Candidate Name, Hall Ticket Number and Photograph are printed by the Convener on OMR answer sheet as per the data provided by the candidate. Candidate shall ensure that whether he/she received his/her own OMR answer sheet or not. If there is any discrepancy in details or damage to the sheet, the same shall be brought to the notice of the Invigilator immediately.
m. The Question Paper Booklet given to the candidate shall consist of 160 questions (multiple choice type) in three different sections subject wise with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is correct for the given question. Candidates shall mark the correct answer in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet by shading in Dark the appropriate circle with Blue / Black Ball Point Pen.
n. Candidates are required to answer all the questions. All questions carry equal marks. There is no negative mark for incorrect answer.
o. Every candidate has to select ONLY ONE HELP LINE CENTRE (HLC) of his/her choice for Certificate Verification and Option Entry (at the time of admission). Candidate has to attend for the above HLC chosen. Request for the change of the HLC will not be allowed once chosen.

EAMCET Medical 2014 Online Application

Submission of  Online Application for EAMCET – 2014

EAMCET Medical 2014 Online Application  should be submitted through Online mode only. The following information must be kept ready for filling the details during Online submission:
a. Hall ticket Number of Qualifying Examination
b. Hall ticket Number of S.S.C. or equivalent
c. Date of Birth
d. Caste in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates
e. PH, NCC, Sports etc.
f. Income Upto One Lakh or Up to Two Lakhs or More than Two Lakhs (Rupees)
g. Study or Residence or relevant certificate for proof of local status (last 12 years)
h. Choice of Help Line Centres for Certificate Verification and options at the time of admission
Note: The above certificates are to be submitted during the counseling for admission.

Online submission:
For Online submission, visit the website www.apeamcet.org. A candidate has to pay Rs.250/- as Registration Fee and late fee (if applicable) by opting any of the following two modes of payment:

(a) AP ONLINE / E-Seva / Mee Seva.

(b) Debit / Credit Card.

  • After filling the Online Application Form with the required details, the candidate is required to verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled In Online Application Form will be generated which contains Registration Number along with filled in details. The candidate is required to take printout of Filled In Online Application Form and it is to be submitted to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College where studied the qualifying examination. The candidate should use the Registration Number for future correspondence.
  • Mere appearance and qualifying at EAMCET-2014 does not confer any right for admission into professional courses. Candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in the relevant G.O at the time of admission.

Please go through the following general information:
1. Please ensure that you are using the correct application form intended for Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2014.
2. NRI candidates shall give their address in India for correspondence.
3. Ensure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria given in section 3 of the Information Handbook.
4. Submit only one application form.
5. Your application must be complete in all respects. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
6. Application forms will be machine processed. The machine will read only fully darkened bubbles.
Please see section 6 & 7 of the Information Handbook before filling the application form.
7. Options once selected in the application cannot be changed at a later date.

AMRITA Engineering (UG) 2014 FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) : 

Qn.- 1. What is the procedure to get admission for B.Tech. in Amrita University ?

Ans: A candidate should have a pass in 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects (or) a three year Diploma in engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education and also should appear for Amrita Entrance Exam to be eligible to get admission based on his / her rank in the entrance exam. Age restrictions apply.

Qn.– 2. Can a candidate who has scored high rank in any other national or state entrance exam get direct admission in Amrita?

Ans : No. Only candidates who appeared for Amrita Entrance exam 2014 are eligible for admission.

Qn.– 3. Is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham affiliated to any University for purpose of recognition of degrees?

Ans : No. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a University established under sec 3 of UGC Act 1956. Being a University, the question of affiliation to another university does not arise. Since the university is recognized by UGC and Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, the courses offered by Amrita University are recognized. The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC ) with ‘A’ Grade in 2009. The HRD Ministry’s Panel Report(2010) on Deemed Universities has graded Amrita in Category ‘A’.

Qn.– 4. How is Amrita B.Tech.Programme designed?

Ans : Choice Based credit system with continuous evaluation is followed in semester pattern.

Qn.– 5. Is campus transfer possible after joining the B.Tech. programme in anyone of the Amrita campuses?

Ans : No. There is no provision for campus transfer.

Qn.– 6. How many students are presently studying in the University?

Ans: At present around 15,000 students are studying in the five campuses of the University.

Qn.– 7. Where should I attend the counselling for B.Tech. admission?

Ans : You can attend the counselling in any one of the three campuses at your convenience and opt any branch in any one of the three campuses according to the availability of seat at the time of your counselling.

Qn.– 8. At the time of counselling, is the presence of candidate compulsory?

Ans : Yes, the candidate along with his parent or guardian shall be present at the counselling desk.

Qn.– 9. If I do not receive call letter in time to attend the counselling, what can I do?

Ans : The rank list and counselling schedule will be published in the university website. Candidates who do not get the intimation letter shall check the website and if their rank is included for counselling, they may attend the counselling with all their original certificates as specified. Qn.– 10.In XII class exam my average marks for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is above 60% but in Physics the score is less than 55%. Can I attend the counselling?

AMRITA Engineering (UG) 2014 General Instructions for the students :-

  • Sealed question booklet will be in 4 versions A, B, C & D. The version code of the question booklet, the number of pages and question booklet number will be printed on the front page of the question booklet.
  • Using blue / black ball point pen, candidate shall write his / her name, registration number and signature in the spaces provided in the question booklet.
  • Answer sheet :  An OMR answer sheet is used for marking the answers. Specimen of the OMR answer sheet .
  • Distribution of Question Booklet and Answer Sheet :  Question booklet and coded answer sheet will be distributed in the examination hall 15 minutes before the actual time of commencement of examination, so that the candidates shall have sufficient time to read the instructions and fill up the required information on question booklet and answer sheet.
  • Important Points to note :   The candidate should not do any rough work on the answer sheet. All rough work should be done in the space provided for the purpose in the question booklet.
  • Extra care is needed while handling the coded answer sheet in the following respects.
  • DO NOT: (i) pin or staple (ii) punch or tag (iii) make hole anywhere (iv) wet or soil (v) tear or mutilate (vi) wrinkle or fold the coded answer sheet.

(a) Use the OMR answer sheet carefully ; no spare sheet will be issued under any circumstance.

(b) Do not fold or make any stray mark on the OMR Sheet.

(c) Use HB pencil or Blue / Black  ball point pen shading the bubbles and use ball point pen for writing.

(d) In the OMR answer sheet , make the following entries

1) write the Registration Number, Question Booklet Number and Question Booklet Version code using ball point pen.

2) Fill the oval corresponding to the  Registration number, Question Booklet Number and Question Booklet Version code using HB pencil/Ball point pen.

3) Write your Name and Signature  using ball point pen.

(e) Rough work should not be done on the Answer Sheet.
