        West Bengal Public Service Commission came into existence in the year 1957 after it attained the statehood in the year 1950.The headquarters of the organization is located in Kolkata. Judicial Service Examination

       The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Civil Judges, Public prosecution lawyers and other Judicial Service officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

            The aspirant must be an Indian. He/She must have an age limit between 21 to 30 years. The candidate must have a bachelor degree in law from a recognized University/Institution. The candidate must have an enrolment an advocate in Bar Council from any State or Union Territory. The aspirant must know to read, write and speak Bengali.

Selection Procedure:

            The selection for the candidate is done by

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Personal Interview

Exam Pattern:

            The Preliminary exam consist of one paper with 200 questions with 200 marks and two and half hours time duration .The exam is of objective type. The main exam consists with eight compulsory papers and it this three papers are optional subject papers chosen by the candidate. The marks for each paper I 100 with three hour time duration .The paper I of descriptive type. The marks for Personal Interview I 100 mark. The eligible candidates are selected for the personal Interview.

Civil Service Examination

       The examination is conducted for four groups, Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D. The posts are Commercial Tax officers, Excise officers, Block Development Officers, Food and Supply Officers, Agricultural Officer.

Eligibility Criteria:

            The candidate must be the citizen of India. The aspirant must have a age limit between 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation based on the norm of the commission. The candidate must possess a degree from a recognized University/Institution.

Selection Procedure:

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

          The preliminary exam consists of one paper of objective type with 200 questions with 200 marks and two and half hours time duration. The main exams consist of six compulsory papers with one optional paper for Group A and B. The paper I and II are written type while the other papers are objective type. The mark allotted for various group are

    Group A: 200 marks

   Group B: 200 marks

   Group C: 150 marks

   Group D: 100 marks

             The mark will be reduced to 10% as the candidate disclosed his/her identity. There is negative marking for the preliminary paper. The merit based candidates are moved to the personal Interview.

Combined Competitive Examination

       The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Junior Engineers in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical.

Eligibility Criteria:

      The aspirant must be an Indian. He/She must possess a diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical from a recognized University/Institution. The age limit of the candidate must be between 20 to 30 years. The final year students can also apply to the posts. The candidate should know to read, write and speak in Bengali.

Exam Pattern:

      The written examination consists of 100 questions with 200 marks with two hours time duration. Each question carries 2 marks each. For personal interview, the candidate the score is 100 marks.

Exam Pattern:

            The Written Examination consists of two papers the first paper has three parts with history, language and reasoning ability respectively. The second paper consists of questions from the following subjects.

     The paper consists of 150 questions .Each question carries two marks. They are objective type questions with 2:30 time duration. There is negative marking. One mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The personal Interview, the mark is 75.

State Engineering Examination

    The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Assistant Engineers in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical.

Eligibility Criteria:

    The candidate must be the citizen of India. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years. The candidate must possess a graduation in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. There is age relaxation for candidate as per the norms. The candidate must know their regional language.

Exam Pattern:

         The examination consists of three papers .Each paper consists of 150 questions with 300 marks with time duration of 2:30 hours. The examination is objective type. There is negative marking for each wrong answer. The personal Interview is for 100 marks. The final merit list is based on the marks scored in each stages of selection.

State Service Examination

         The Examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Deputy Collectors, Administrative officers, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officers, Tehilsdar, Commercial Tax Officers, Excise officers.

Eligibility Criteria:

        The candidate must be the citizen of India. The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years. The candidate must possess a degree in any field from a recognized University/Institution. There is age relaxation for candidate as per the norms. The candidate must know their regional language.

Exam Pattern:

            The Preliminary Examination Consists of two question papers. The exam is of objective type with 100 questions and two hours time duration. There is negative marking for each wrong answer. The main exam consists of seven papers with 200 marks for each paper. The papers are conventional essay type with three hours time duration. The Personal Interview is of 150 marks. The Marks in preliminary exam is not eligible for the final test.

      The examination consists of Two Section papers with objective and conventional essay type. The Section I consists of general Ability and Technical Subject papers with 200 marks and three hours time duration. Fishery officer and Extension officer Examination

       The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of fishery and Extension officer.

Eligibility Criteria:

     The Aspirant must be the citizen of India the Aspirant must hold a degree in Fishery Science from a recognized University/Institution. The final year students are eligible to attend the examination. The age limit for the higher Official will be referred on the notification of the job.       The Aspirant must be the citizen of India. The aspirant must have a graduation in engineering from a recognized University/Institution. The age limit of the candidate is between 21 to 30 years. The aspirant must have knowledge of mizo language up to the middle School level.

Medical Officer Examination

    Karnataka Public Service Commission had launched in the year 1951.Karnataka Public Service Commission had their headquarters in Bangalore. The Commission consists of a chairman and nine members. The commission office consists of full fledged hardware and software support. The exams conducted by them are;Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC)

Group A Examination

   The exam is being held for the candidates for the posts of Deputy Collector, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Deputy Registrar etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

  The candidate must be the citizen of India and he/she must  contain a degree from an approved University/Institution .The candidate must be fluent in the regional language.

Selection Procedure:

   The exams conducted by the commission are;

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Main Written Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

     The Preliminary Examination is an objective type .It consists of multiple choice questions. The total marks for the exam are 100 marks. The main examination consists of 8 papers with duration of two and half hours. The marks for these papers are 1200.The candidate who passed in the both exams are eligible for the interview process.

Group B Examination

      The exam is mainly held for the posts are Assistant Posts, Assistant Section Officer and Assistant Inspector of Local Funds.

Eligibility Criteria:

     The aspirant must be a degree holder from a authorized University/institution.

Selection Procedure:

    The candidate must attend three level of selection process

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Main Exam
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

     The exam paper consists of multiple choice questions with the total mark of 100 marks. The written Examination is attended by the candidates who are eligible from the preliminary exam. The viva voce or the interview process are been done by a panel of members from the commission to recruit the eligible candidates.

Group C Examination

    The exam are mainly conducted for the posts of Typists, Junior Accountant, Auditor.

Eligibility Criteria:

    The candidate must be a degree holder from a renowned Institution/University. Based on the qualification the candidate should apply for the posts.

Selection Process:

    The selection process consists of two levels which are as follows;

  • Written Examination
  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

    The written Examination includes two papers with duration of 150 minutes. The candidate eligible from the exam are shortlisted for the next level of selection that is the interview process. The interview process is based on the marks secured and the selected candidates are allocated for the respective posts.

Group D Examination

   The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of Junior Stenographer, Accountant cum Typists.

Eligibility Criteria:

    The Aspirant must be a degree holder from a recognized Institution/University. He/she must be a well versed typist in their regional language.

Selection Procedure:

     The two levels of Examination are,

  • Written Examination
  • Viva Voice

Exam Pattern:

     The Written examination includes two papers with a time duration of 150 minutes. The shortlisted candidate are selected for the next level of test that is viva voice.

How to Apply

  • The Candidate must log into the official website of Karnataka Public Service Commission
  • A Candidate must log into the New Registration to get a Registration Id and password
  • The aspirant must have a scanned copy of recent image, signature for uploading into the application form
  • Using the Registration Id and password, the candidate can log on to fill the form
  • Fill all the mandatory details
  • After filling the application go through it to check whether there are any mistakes in the form, if their exists edit the application form

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Exams Information

ANDHRA PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

          Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission had started in the year 1st November 1956.Before this Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was for Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was for Hyderabad State. Later after the bifurcation it came into existence as Andhra public Service Commission. The commission consists of 9 members and a Chairman.

The Commission conduct exam for the different posts in the State. The exams are;Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)

Andhra Pradesh Group I Service

Andhra Pradesh Group II Services

    Group II Services are mainly conducted for the posts of Junior Employment Officer, Excise Officers and Extension Officer.

Eligibility Criteria:

    The aspirant should be the citizen of India. The age limit should be between 18 to 36 years. The education qualification should be a degree based on the post and the degree must be from a recognized University/Institution.

Exam Pattern:

      The written exam consists of three papers with 150 questions each and duration of 150 minute for each paper. The interview score is of 50 marks

Andhra Pradesh Group III Services

      Group III Services are mainly conducted for the posts of Senior Accountant,Senior Auditor,Assistant Auditor.

  The Candidate should be a citizen of India.The candidate should hold  a degree from a recognized University/Institution.

Andhra Pradesh Group IV Services

   The group IV Service exam is held for the posts of Typists and Junior Stenos

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should have completed +2 from a recognized institution.
  • The aspirant must have “Certification of computer on Office Automation” given by the Technical Education Department
  • Aspirant must have passed the Government Technical Examination in typewriting and in shorthand in Higher/Senior Grade in their Regional Languages

          The examination is mainly conducted for the posts of professors, Lecturers, Teaching staffs.

Eligibility Criteria:

       The aspirant must be the citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan. The age limit of the candidate is between 20 to 40 years. There is 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST candidate. He/she must have knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. He/she must possess an experience in teaching.
